"Good morning, sir."
"Ah yes, I've been expecting you. Good morning, Michael." The middle-aged man welcomed him in and beckoned for him to sit before resuming his position behind the desk. "So how was last night?" He asked suggestively.
"That's actually why I came to see you." Michael responded.
His face grew stern and with a serious tone he asked, "She did perform adequately, did she not? She didn't give you any problems I hope."
"No sir-"
"Please call me Nicolai" he interjected.
Michael nodded in acquiescence before continuing, "You see, I did not allow her to 'perform her duties.' Nicolai, how you're using your daughter is wrong, it's hurting her. With all due respect sir, Nicolai, I detest the way you close your so called business deals in your company. I proposed to her last night, and she agreed to marry me. I'm here to inform you that she won't be working for you anymore."
"Hmm, so I see." Adelaide's father said thoughtfully, leaning back in his chair and took a contemplative pose. "That's a real bold stand that you've presented. Had you said that to any other man of my standing in this sort of business you would have been shot."
"I was willing to take that chance, sir."
Impressed with Michael's courage he asked, "You love my daughter?"
"Yes sir, with all of who I am." Michael responded, his devotion shining in his eyes.
"Then despite the fact that you didn't ask for it, you have my permission to marry Adelaide. I can have another girl lined up to replace her within the week anyway."
"I appreciate it, sir." Michael said politely, nodding his head. With that he left, hurrying to go tell Adelaide the good news, his unwavering love for her overriding his feelings of disgust towards her father. He smiled, overjoyed, here's to their future together.

Do you feel the same?
I'm still just so lost
Can't believe my sadness
You shouldn't leave
What can I say?
I never felt this way
Tried to ignore it for months
I can't hide no more
Maybe it's too late?
My blush increases every second
You know I like someone
But you don't know it's you
Maybe it's true?
You make me smile
I talk happily with you
With you I feel safe and happy
Do you feel the same?

Thickly seeping into a cracked vessel,
Imbibing every cirrus, every eager breath.
The sludge trudges,
The Black contracts, bereaved,
The verdant grid, relieved
The sluggish spell begins to quell
Ardor,
Now only a whimper on fragile lips
Nameless, faceless plague
Swelling in congruence with every slower swipe
Maneuvering the psychic climate
Into Barrenness.
The Black is marvelously alluring,
She charms only genuine energies, vexes them.

Nocte
Hiding from the beast,
From tree to tree,
Running in the dark,
I tell myself such things,
Slow- so it won't find you,
Breath.
These fires have scorched far and wide,
Leaving the scent of my former cinders to linger in my head,
Like some bad bender,
Warped memories encircling grey,
The ground is made of shattered glass,
Broken dreams.
No lilies remain,
To any kingdom I run,
In mirrors of liquid glass,
Surrealist battles are won,
And like fear,
The spider crawled from my mouth.
They are sedating everything,
Brush pixilated,
Focus changing,
Leaving me to run in the dark,
Caught in the eye of the storm,
Hiding in the calm.

When I first wrote Oh Adelaide, I never expected there to be any more to their story, yet here they showed up again. I guess this couple really wants their story told, especially since, there's a third installment... I like them though. So I hope you enjoy! Comments and critiques are welcome as always!
*Even after almost a year since I wrote this, I'm still kind of shocked that I wrote this little series. And I'm also still completely disgusted by her father... even though technically I created him.. Go figure

I'm such a pessimist, I now have a vision of them both dead in alley as an act of revenge or something.
And don't feel about making villians, or horrible fathers. The father of my nano mc brainwashed his son so he thought he was someone else entire. And also shot him twice, and tazed him at another point.
